*Duke Ellington was a master of the piano, always conducting

his orchestra from the piano.  In his long career, he wrote

over 1000 compositions, be it jazz, movie soundtracks,

or theater.  He was  offered a job at the Cotton Club where

he played there  regularly for ten years.  Duke did it all.
